What is phone provisioning?

Phone provisioning is the process that allows a phone to securely download its configuration settings when it is first connected, restarted, or reset.

What has changed?

Provisioning now uses device-specific authentication. Each phone is authenticated using a unique set of credentials before it is allowed to download its configuration. This additional layer of protection aligns with industry best practices and is designed to be seamless for end users.
