Can you port a disconnected number?
Unfortunately not. All numbers within the account must remain active with the losing carrier until port completes.
What is the Billing Telephone Number (BTN)?
The billing telephone number, or BTN, is the main number on the account. You will need to confirm with your carrier to ensure you have the correct BTN. This only applies if you have more than one telephone number on an account.
What is the timeframe for the port to complete?
Porting times may vary and can take up to 3 weeks to complete. However, in many cases, ports can be completed within 3-5 days of LOA submission if the port runs smoothly.
What is the difference between the CSR Address (Service Address) and Address for the Invoice?
A carrier can have a billing address if it differs from the service address. The service address is typically the physical address of the end user.
What is a partial port?
A partial port is when we are porting out some numbers, but not all within the account. If we are porting the existing BTN during a partial port, we will need to assign a new number that is not being ported out as the new BTN.
Can we port a wireless number?
Yes! We can port wireless numbers however, an Account PIN is required with most wireless carriers.
