You do not have to be an Office Manager to schedule a message. Anyone with access to a number can queue a message to go out later and see what has already gone out. This article covers the user view. Office Managers see every scheduled send in the organization; see
Office Manager - Scheduling Messages and Blasts.
Two ways to schedule
From the composer, start a message the way you normally would and turn on Schedule for later before sending. Use this when you are writing to one person and want the text to land at a better time. This works on every True Messaging plan.
From the Scheduled page in the left navigation, select New scheduled send. Use this when you are sending to several people at once, when you want to send a voice call or an email instead of a text, or when you want the message on the calendar without opening a conversation first.
True Messaging Plus. The Scheduled page is a Plus feature. If your organization is on True Messaging Standard, this feature still shows in the portal but is grayed out with the label This feature is included with True Messaging Plus. Contact your TIPS representative to upgrade.

Building the send
Choose a
Message type:
SMS,
Voice (pre-recorded),
Text-to-voice, or
Email. For SMS and voice, pick which of your numbers to send from. Write the message (or record it, for pre-recorded voice), then pick
Send now or
Schedule for later with a date, time, and time zone. You can only send from numbers you have access to; if a number you expect is missing, see
Managing Access to Your Numbers. For the voice and email steps, see
Sending Voice and Email Broadcasts.
Choosing who gets it
Select Select recipients, then filter by group, name, or owner and check the people you want. Selecting a distribution list narrows the view to that list's members. It does not select the group as a single unit, so scan the checked names before you send. That extra step is deliberate: it is the last chance to catch a parent who should not be on a bus route, or a staff member who has left.
If the people you need are not in your contacts yet and you can import contacts, select Import a CSV above the recipient list. Your draft stays put while the import runs in its own window. Pick or create at least one list for the new contacts, then commit. The window closes, a banner tells you how many were imported, and those contacts are already checked as recipients.
Checking that it went out
Each row on the Scheduled page shows totals for
Sent,
Errors, and
Skipped once the send has run. Skipped usually means a contact who opted out of that channel was protected from receiving it, which is working as intended; see
Opt-Outs and STOP Requests: What Your Team Needs to Know. Open a send to see the reason for each skipped or failed recipient.
Changing your mind
A send that has not gone out yet can be edited or canceled from its detail screen. Once dispatch has started, a cancel will not catch it. You will be asked to refresh and check the status instead, so write the message as if you cannot pull it back.
