Windows setup for Wisenet Wave Server
On first login the server will force a password change, leave the old password field blank and enter P…..23! as the new password and confirm it. Then click the arrow beside confirm password or hit enter.
The desktop will load and open Microsoft Edge just close all that and open Chrome when it asks to set it as your default click ok and then click set as default at the top of the window that pops up.
Close that window and go back into Chrome, then go to these URLs and download Wisenet Device Manager https://hanwhavisionamerica.com/resources/tools/wisenet-device-manager/
Scroll down the screen and click download beside the latest version of Wisenet Device Manager
Open a new tab and go here for Shepherd https://www.vivotek.com/products/software/shepherd?tab=download
Scroll down the screen and click Software in the middle of the screen

Download the latest version of Shepherd
Once those are downloaded you can find the zip folders for them in the server download folder, open file explorer and click downloads on the left side of the screen
These two folders should be in there
Right click each one and click Extract All
Click Extract
Once it is extracted this window will appear
Open the Wisenet Device Manager v2 folder
Inside that folder will be these two files
Double click Wisenet Device Manager v2.9.2 setup
It will then be installed and appear in the bottom of the Start menu
Next follow the same procedure for Shepherd, right click the folder and Extract All
Once you do a window will open with these two files
Click on Shepherd 3.6.1.0
And it will create and open this folder
Once that folder is open you will see a list of files and the Shepherd Application file
Right click the Shepherd Application file and chose Pin to Start in the menu
Yours will say Pin to, I already did this step before making these instructions
Once this is completed we need to setup some a user for Windows and fix the wave user so the password does not expire.
Do that by going to the start menu and right clicking it, then choose Computer Management
Computer Management will open this window
Go to Local Users and Groups
Open the Users Folder
Right click on the wave user and click on Properties in the pop up menu
Then check the box that is beside Password never expires
Click OK
Then right click anywhere under the user WDAGUtility and choose New User from the popup menu
Enter TIPS as the username and use the P…..23! for the password
Uncheck User must change password at next logon
Check the box for Password never expires
Next we want to rename the server and reboot, do this by right clicking the start menu and choosing System
The System > About window will pop up, select Domain or workgroup in the center of the window
This window will appear
Click Change and this window will popup
Change the Computer Name field to be the name
of the school with PSRC in front of the name as in the example above. Do not
attempt to put spaces in the name.
Click Ok and the system will ask you to reboot for changes to be made, Reboot the server at this time.

Wisenet Wave software setup
Click I Agree
Click New System
Click Continue
Click Setup New System
The system will ask for an admin password to be set, use the P…..23! for that account and you will then be logged into the software.
Go ahead and update the software
This screen will appear once you have downloaded the update and clicked Install
Once installed the software will close and you will see this
Click Yes
The software will reopen and be on the main screen, on the right hand side you will see these items in yellow that need to be addressed before the server is completely setup.
In order to address all of these follow these steps
Click the Three line icon at the top left corner of the
screen
Choose System Administration
This menu will pop up
Uncheck on this window Enable cameras and servers autodiscovery and automated camera status check
Go to WAVE Sync and click Connect system to WAVE Sync…
Enter this email address psrcwave@trueipsolutions.com and use the P….23! for the password
It will connect and ask you for the local server password enter that and Wave Sync is configured
Now add users for Brian and Myself by going back to the three line menu button and clicking System Administration and then User Management
Click Add User
Enter jpelletier@trueipsolutions.com and make part of Power Users group in the Permission Groups drop down menu and click Add User
Then repeat for brianhales@trueipsolutions.com
Next go to email address is not set
Use psrcwave@trueipsolutions.com for the email and True IP Solutions for the Full name click apply and the yellow message on the right hand side goes away
Click Ok to close and then go to Email Server is not set on the right hand side of the widow
In this window a unique Mail from email address must be used for example I am setting up this server for PSRCParkton so I am making the Mail from address PSRCParkton@trueipsolutions.com
Next enter this into the Username and Password fields

Once all that is entered click Ok and go to the No license alert on the top right of the screen
Click on Activate Free License
